I can’t say I anticipated Dido’s ‘comeback’ to feature Kendrick Lamar, but there you go. I actually like this, even though I am not too crazy about Dido.

Some of the problems of running a blog like this one is catching up with emails and messages. Sometimes you listen to something, schedule it to be featured but somehow it never creeps on to the site.
This is one such track by JD Samson & MEN. I got the original tip off to this AKA JK remix on the 23rd April 2012. Fortunately it’s still up as a free download- awesome. Better late than never!
Ho Ho, Ho Hum
This is probably my favourite Christmas track to come out of this year’s festive musical offerings. It’s by James Apollo, and sounds so different and whimsical but familiar at the same time, so I saved the best for last.

The last twelve months have shown a really strong emergence fantastic indie pop to come out of Norway. Norwegian acts seem to be mastering the skill of blending folk with very edgy, dark beats to create something pretty intense that still somehow manages to sound… cute… This band does just that.
