I’m such a fan of these guys. Strangers return with their second single of 2012. Following on from April’s ‘Shine On You’ the 3 piece dark synth pop sorcerers release ‘Safe / Pain’ via Stranger Sounds on August 20th.
Saturday Disco
I have a good feeling about this weekend. I don’t know why, but let’s celebrate with some lush new disco from Montevideo via this Zimmer mix!
Free Download: Wild Combination ‘Stay In Sight Of These Shores (Hush Love Remix)’
Remixer Hush Love has taken a track entitled ‘Stay In Sight of These Shores’ by the Essex based band Wild Combination, who make dark hued indie-pop, and has put his own electronic spin on it. The original track is featured on Wild Combination’s debut EP, which they are giving away for free here and the Hush Love remix is also available as a free download above!
Work’s almost over…
Introducing the new (original) Sugababes
This is an exciting day for us all… The original Sugababes are starting to show off their new come-back look and it’s got me very happy. They can’t call themselves Sugababes anymore, because the current line-up has the naming rights so now the original three girls are Mutya Keisha Siobhan.
New Music: Sebjak
Kaskade + Skrillex
This has been online for a few months now but it’s due to blow up in the next month, so here you go. I can’t think of a better tune to feed your ears with on a cold summer Friday morning than this.
First Watch: Hi Fashion ‘Special Delivery Love’
New, delicious video from the loveable Hi Fashion. The duo (Jen DM – vocals, Rick Gradone – everything else you hear), are not content with just crafting infectious and delicious ElectroPop songs, but they create their entire world, sculpting the landscape with a dozen dancers’ bodies at live performances as videos projected on venue walls provide the horizon. As they appeal to all of your senses at each show, Hi-Fashion invites you to seek residence in their world. So there you go.
Lana Del Rey + H&M
New Music: Cleo Sol
Favourite track of the week. This mixes all kinds of pop goodness into three minutes and forty seconds. If this doesn’t make the UK charts by the end of the summer then something is very wrong. Check out here.
New Music: Gin Wigmore
One of my favourite songs of the week, it mixes a bit or rock with a bit of indie with a bit of country in a radio friendly way. Check out here.
New Music: Brock Zanrosso
So this is Brock Zanrosso. He’s from Canada, and I can’t quite put my finger on it but I have a feeling this kid will go far. Check out here.
New Music: Wynter Gordon
Ive known of Wynter Gordon for a long time but to my shock I never featured her on here. Now she’s causing huge buzz in the blogosphere and for good reason- this single is mindblowing. Check out here.
New Music: Shannan Stone
The voice reminds me a bit from the woman that sings in Evanescence but this sound is as far away from that as you can be. Nice acoustic stuff. Check out here.
New Music: JJAMZ
New Music: Charlee Drew
Fibes, Oh Fibes!
Fibes, Oh Fibes! new album, called… Album, has been getting mixed reviews from the blog world but I personally am a huge fan. So it’s good news to me that they are finally getting a UK release.
Robyn Vs Avicii
Love this! A mash up from Robyn’s ‘Dancing on my Own’ and Avicii’s ‘Fade into Darkness’ by Mario Santiago.
First Watch: Noisettes ‘Winner’
New Music: Adam Whittington
New bubblegum electro pop from an upcoming pop hunk no doubt. Check out here.
