Musicians Alex Bonyata and Bella Rose have collaborated on a new single, and it’s so catchy that we had to share it with you.

‘I Should Feel Better’ looks at the pressures that we put on ourselves to be happy. Alongside the memorable melody, the song’s lyrics are refreshingly honest and easy to form a connection with.

“The song explores unexplained depression, pressure to be okay, and the question: why don’t I feel better when I’m supposed to?”

Bonyata and Rose are songwriters who met at the Grammy Foundation’s Grammy Museum Music Revolution Project, and have been working on songs together from as early as 2015. Collectively they are known as The Young Something and have performed with the likes of Ringo Starr and Foreigner.

Leo Perl – Another Day

American indie artist Leo Perl returns with his second single of the year, called ‘Another Day’. There’s a playful irony in how this track’s frantic and high-energy production contrasts with lyrics that speak of procrastination.

The production showcases a sound that fuses alternative pop with indie and rap, and continues to highlight Perl’s ever-evolving style of working. This is a musician who is comfortable playing around with a variety of genres, which makes his work refreshingly unexpected with each release.

New Music: Danie Groves

British and Thai singer, songwriter and actress Danie Groves is a very special newcomer who has won us over with her sleek R&B sound.

‘Embers’ is out today and was inspired by the age-old dilemma of falling in love with the right person at the wrong time – and having to let them go. The lyrics are honest, vulnerable and sincere, drawing listeners into Danie’s innermost thoughts. She explains:

“I wrote ‘Embers’ years ago about someone who changed my perspective on what it means to pursue love with integrity. I still have a lot of admiration for that person, but the experience taught me how much timing and honesty matters. It helped me understand what I truly value in a relationship. At its heart, the song is about gratitude: for the memories, the lessons, and the clarity that came afterwards.”

Groves has had an interesting childhood split between the UK, Hong Kong and Thailand. Alongside her music career, Danie is also a qualified barrister and based in London.

Vansire – For the Moment

Minnesota music project Vansire return today with a charming new song that we think you might love quite a lot.

‘For the Moment’ is a subtly playful-sounding track that weaves dreamy pop with indie. The production feels nostalgic in tone, while the lyrics speak of the connections that we have with music as we grow older.

New Music: FREZYA

‘FEVERLOCK’ is an interesting song for us to feature, down to the fact that the artist behind the track, FREZYA, is actually a virtual creation that was constructed by Lokidio Lab.

The track gives us a taste of what AI’s potential can be in music. Sonically inspired by genres like dance and amapiano, the song’s feel-good style of sound is infectiously uplifting. Alongside FREZYA, you can hear vocals from another digital project who goes by the name of LPSV.

“Narratively, ‘FEVERLOCK’ locks the night in place, midnight heat, slow-motion haze, and infinite flow, capturing the intimate aftershock of two partners collapsing into each other on the last atoms of strength.”

The song follows on from FREZYA’s debut release ‘FURTIVA‘, which gained considerable media attention and landed features on outlets like Plastic Magazine and York Calling.

Without a doubt, MANNA is an artist who has absolutely blown us away. This Estonian newcomer creates a style of electronic pop that immediately commands attention.

‘I’m Just A Girl’ is a bold and upfront song that addresses gender politics and the unbalanced dynamics that can exist within the music industry. The production fuses dark pop with raw, abrasive electronic beats, complimenting MANNA’s sharp and confident vocal delivery.

britta raci – the feeling never goes away

LA-based singer and songwriter britta raci is quickly gaining momentum, already amassing more than a million streams on Spotify alone from just a handful of songs.

Known for her rock sound, raci returns today with something a little different: an electronic bop called ‘the feeling never goes away’. If you love PinkPantheress, then you most definitely will also love this release.

The song showcases a drum & bass production, infused with UK-garage beats. The track has a distinctively British club feel to it, which is relevant when you learn that the song was inspired by a moment when racie faced heartbreak in London. She explains:

“I was dating a DJ/ music producer who invited me to come meet him halfway through his tour in London, but when I got to London he had already moved on and decided to end things with me. It was extremely painful because I realized I had never given myself enough time to truly move on or process any of my previous relationships, which is why the feeling of heartbreak has never ever gone away. I think the very last lyric that ends the song is so dramatic, and although I don’t relate to the lyric anymore, I really wanted to keep it the same as when I wrote it because I wanted the track to still embody the amount of pain I was in while I wrote it.”

The song was created alongside fellow musicians Adam Rochelle on keyboards and Beverly Hell on cello. We’re loving this new sonic direction, so we’re excited to see what comes next from this talented artist!

Philine & Malte

MONIKA is a brand-new outfit from Germany who have won us over with their very distinctive sound.

The musical project of composer Malte Beckenbach and jazz artist Philine Senf-Beckenbach, MONIKA create songs that are inspired by everyday life.

New single ‘Gold’ flirts between the melancholic and the whimsical. The production blends nostalgic pop tones with elements of indie, folk, and soft rock.

“In reminiscence of a time that seems lost, but is not.”

Even if you don’t speak German (we can’t either…), there’s a warm charm to this song which wins you over, regardless of what language you understand.

New Music: The Danphes

It’s a big day for British newcomers The Danphes, as they release their debut single and introduce their fantastic music to the world.

This group of friends have joined forces to become one of Norwich’s newest musical outfits, creating an invigorating indie sound that epitomises the essence of rebellious youth. If you love The Smiths or Teenage Fanclub, then the chances are high that you’ll also enjoy these chaps’ music.

‘Heartbreak High’ was recorded at the famous Sick Room Studios, and speaks of a love between two people. The track feels playful and hopeful, while also capturing that youthful and unwavering ambition to run away and be free from the world.

“This song is about two people planning a quiet escape together – late night drives, headlights in the rear view and that feeling of being completely in sync with someone. It blends atmospheric indie guitars with nostalgic, cinematic mood inspired by wanting to run away and never look back.”

Joe Jenneman – Throw Your Stones

TRACK OF THE WEEK

West Michigan’s Joe Jenneman only came across our radars earlier this week, but we’re already in love with his powerful style of sound. Now based in Nashville, this singer, songwriter and producer crafts songs that are not only sonically interesting but also lyrically captivating.

‘Throw Your Stones’ is a song that packs a punch. It has elements of ’90s Britpop blended with indie and alternative rock, resulting in a production that is immediately arresting. The lyrics use the story of a toxic relationship to serve as a metaphor for vices that do us more harm than good. Jenneman elaborates:

“On the surface ‘Throw Your Stones’ is about being in a toxic, possibly even abusive relationship. While that’s definitely one accurate interpretation, I believe the concept also applies to any sort of vice. What I’m personally singing about varies from a partner, a substance, or any other range of addictions which could be haunting me at that moment. I hope whatever the cloud a listener may have over them, that they’ll find comfort in knowing they aren’t alone in their struggles to overcome dependency.”

Jenneman is already an accomplished musician who was a finalist in the American Songwriter’s Road Ready Contest and was also hailed as one of 2025’s ‘Artists to Watch’ by iconic tastemaker EARMILK.

Evan Fong – Pesos

Following on from his massive hit ‘breathe‘ (which has amassed more than three million streams so far), acclaimed artist Evan Fong returns with another impressive song, called ‘Pesos’.

REYA – supersize

REYA is one of those pop newcomers who instantly command your attention. The London-based musician and producer releases a new single today, called ‘supersize’, and it is indeed larger than life.

A dark pop production at its core, this song is simply epic. Flamenco guitars are blended with pulsating, hypnotic beats, while REYA’s vocals flow with lyrics that effortlessly flirt between English and Spanish.

“I’ve been blessed enough to travel for work and gotten to know so many wonderful people over the past year. I’ve opened up my own label Pink Studios, which aims to give women and minorities a platform to bloom and own their masters while getting their bag. And I’m currently producing albums and EPs for stunning artists inside and out (you guys inspire me beyond words). All of this to say, I’ve learned A LOT, a lot about what I want and what I need from myself and life. And as much as I love creating with and for others, you can’t pour from an empty bucket.”

Impressively, REYA always writes and produces her own music. There’s no doubt in our minds that we’ll be hearing a lot more from this artist in the coming months… one to watch!

Anwai – SOMETHING NEW

It’s been six years since we last heard from Swedish outfit Anwai, so we’re delighted to see their return today with a beautiful new single, called ‘SOMETHING NEW’.

This melodic track is part of the double-single feature titled ‘4ever HD’ (listen here) and showcases an interesting fusion of indie, electronica and dreamy pop. The sound is distinctive and original but also immersive and emotionally sincere.

Plain Mister Smith – Lucian and Francis (feat. Tyson Motsenbocker)

The most eccentric and unexpected song of the week comes courtesy of Plain Mister Smith and his new collaboration with Tyson Motsenbocker, titled ‘Lucian & Francis’.

This song is really quite a challenge to describe. It gives us an essence of ’60s lounge pop while also carrying with it some folk and rock undertones. The mix of genres makes this track truly something unique, which feels quite appropriate when you learn that the song is written as an ode to the famously bold painters.

In case you’re wondering, Plain Mister Smith is the musical project of noted Canadian artist Mark Jowett, who is also known for his work with Moev and Cinderpop.

They say good things come to those who wait, and that’s certainly been the case when it comes to the London duo fika. They’re back today with their first release in almost three years, and it’s definitely been worth the wait.

Featuring the talents of Birmingham artist Eddy Luna, ‘Mercy’ is a masterclass in British neo-soul, showcasing a refined style of sound that is both mellow and atmospheric in character.

Julez and the Rollerz – I Don’t Know You

Anyone suffering from midweek blues today will appreciate Julez and the Rollerz’s latest release, the infectiously energising introspective anthem ‘I Don’t Know You’.

The track is a taster to the musical project’s forthcoming ‘Dirty Little Rock ‘N’ Roller’ album and treats listeners to a charming blend of nostalgia-inspired rock and indie pop. Elaborating on the song’s lyrics, vocalist and guitarist Jules Batterman explains:

“Turning 30 made me confront the fact that I’ve outgrown parts of myself. I Don’t Know You started as a song about looking back at my younger self and thinking, ‘Who is she?’ But it naturally became more than just ‘that’. It’s also about how time reshapes EVERYTHING. Sometimes you lose significant people in your life; whether it be friends, past lovers, family members…. Sometimes you lose who you once were. We are forever changing, as are the people around us, and while scary, it’s also beautiful to think about. I’m now 31, married, still unsure of what I want out of life, and I’m hoping my past self is still proud of the path I’m on now.”

Despite being around from as early as 2021, ‘Dirty Little Rock ‘N’ Roller’ only just marks Julez and the Rollerz’s debut album. It was recorded in California at the Tiny Creatures Studio and was produced, mixed and engineered by the Grammy-nominated producer Alex Newport.
