Plastic faces

I am in love with this new track from Swedish songstress Miss Li… It’s a retro track and when you mix that cute voice in to it, it’s just heavenly.

New Music: Tove Lo

Song of the week, and it’s still Monday, but why not? Top notch new pop from Sweden. Check out here.

New Music: Dimbodius

Icy Swedish synth pop from an artist who’s been around for more than a decade, but I’ve only just heard of now. Check out here.

Here Comes The Sun

smith thell

One of my favourite Swedish pop duo’s, Smith & Thell have given The Beatle‘s ‘Here Comes The Sun’ a go, and it’s pretty nice.

New Music: Discoteka Yugostyle

This is probably the most random thing I’ll post all week. Balkan-style pop from Sweden with a brilliant video to match the weirdness. Check out here.

First Listen: Loreen ‘Crying Out Your Name’

This lady only has a handful of tracks out online, despite her enormous win at Eurovision 2012. The track list is as follows:

01. In My Head
02. My Heart Is Refusing Me
03. Everytime
04. Euphoria
05. Crying Out Your Name
06. Do We Even Matter
07. Sidewalk
08. Sober
09. If She’s The One
10. Breaking Robotic
11. See You Again
12. Heal (feat. Blanks)

Time for a song that won’t make any sense…

… unless you’re comprehensive with the Swedish language. But that’s never stopped me from sharing good music- so give this track by Swedish newcomers Jakten a spin and see if you like it. Make up your own lyrics!

The perfect human, according to Miike Snow

To celebrate the release of their new single and video, Miike Snow have decided to build a little illustration on the perfect human, in a way only a Swedish band would do.

First Watch: Milano Sun ‘If You Go Home Alone’

What a lovely track to finish the week with. One of my favourite bands to emerge from Sweden, Milano Sun have released a new video for their latest piece, ‘If You Go Home Alone’. Their self titled EP will be out later this year.

Big big world…

Had this track emailed through to me and it’s a ridiculously epic piece of progressive house from Andalo & Blücker, so I thought I would share.

New Music: World Tour

What is undoubtedly an impossible name for a band to google, World Tour have that sound that breezes you through whatever it is you’re thinking about and takes you to a better place. Check out here.

It’s official…

… one of my favourite pop songs of 2012 is to finally become a proper single. ‘Cerahtonia’ is by Fibes, Oh Fibes! and produced/ co-written by Pontus Winberg of Miike Snow / Bloodshy & Avant

It’s been given a real jig up and now has some female voices which we’ve been left guessing who they are. I think I know though…

New Music: Gus By Heart

I’m such a sucker for this sound. Granted, you need to be in ‘the moment’ to enjoy it but this is just so perfect (in my ears). As is always epic and amazing with some of these Scandinavian acts, the chap behind this sound locked himself up in a tiny studio, sculpting his own musical universe for a year and a half. Time well spent. Check out here.

First Watch: Andreas Moe ‘+1’

New track by one of my favourite Swedish kids, taken from the soundtrack to upcoming British movie ‘The Knot’.
