When I got the email linking me to this song I had a smile on my face, it’s such a bright song. Unsigned Swedish rap at it’s best. And if you like it as much as I did, you can download it for free! Check out here.

New Music: Smith & Thell
This is such a cute little Swedish electro pop song. Check out here.

Before heading out this evening…
Fancy some Swedish stadium rock? Probably not. But give this a go anyway… Please?
This is Swedish stadium rock. It could have passed as cheesy and corny but actually it’s pretty good. I think, anyway. Check out here.
New Music: Sol
It’s a good week for new Swedish music. This is Sol. I don’t really understand what he’s singing about, but it’s really nice to listen to. So here it is. Check out here.
New Music: Niklas von Arnold
Songs like this are the reason I sit for hours every week going through music to put up on here. This song got me a bit teary. Which is something rare. Amazing Swedish soul. Check out here.
Kittens make for good beats
I was meaning to show this video last week but I didn’t get the chance to. Cute Swedish beats matched to a very, very fluffy kitty.
New Music: Milano Sun
A good Swedish remix to kick start your weekend
It’s in Swedish (obviously), and it’s a remix of a song called ‘Stockholm’ which got huge over in Sweden by Jonathan Johansson.
First Watch: Amanda Mair ‘Sense’
Amanda Mair has been causing a bit of a storm on the web for a few months. This seems to be the first video from her. It’s cute.
New Music: Badlands
Haunting, cold beats from Sweden. Check out here.
First Listen: Sam Sparro ‘The Shallow Ground’
A glimpse into upcoming Sam Sparro goodness, with a cameo from Swedish supertalent Erik Hassle. Happy Monday folks.
Lions!
New Music: Lucas Nord
Lykke Li and Miike Snow make a song together
New Music: The Slytest
Swedish indie pop. The Slytest, consisting of young Swedes Dan Axelsson and Simon Larsson has had a fascination for American music since birth. The band manage to put some local colour to the recording with what in Sweden is considered “the Gothenburg sound” – indie choirs and vibrant distorted guitar melody lines in the vein of Broder Daniel and Håkan Hellström – two of Sweden’s major underground pop stars. Check out here.
New Music: Pavlov
Yes, it’s in Swedish. But it’s such a great song I’m sure you’ll enjoy it too. Carries along the same veins as Oskar Linnros and Daniel Adams-Ray. Check out here.
New Music: Emma Lewin
Swedish pop. This would fit in to Eurovision nicely. Check out here.
Swedish country music (it’s better than it sounds…)
I think one of the reasons Swedes do music so well is that they take the best out of genres and improve on them ever so slightly. I mean, this song is country. But it sounds poppy at the same time, but it’s still really country. And I like that. Check out First Aid Kit if you like.
