Revl9n release new album

I don’t usually plug new albums but Revl9n hold a special place in my heart, as they are responsible for one of my favourite songs from my uni days, which is nice.

This Swedish band have a new record that’s been described as ‘the sound of neon-soaked cab rides in search of cheap thrills, of lives full of sex and frustration, danger and euphoria. It’s a scream in the dark, a howl from the heart, an absolute rush.’ So there you go. Album’s out May 14th 2012.

The 21st century’s top 150 biggest selling singles in the UK revealed!

The Official Charts Company in the UK spent the day revealing the top 150 biggest selling singles in the 21st Century. No surprise that a herd of X-Factor winners and novelty tracks occupy the top spots, but it’s also really promising to see a lot of newer tracks being in there as well- people are still buying music! New Music: Hounds

This 4-piece from Essex were hand-picked by The Prodigy to play Milton Keynes Bowl, as well as playing Sonisphere and touring with Does It Offend You Yeah? last year. They have now been confirmed to play Download festival this year and release their blistering new EP ‘The Wicked’ on June 4th. It’s a brash four track EP stirring punk rock and high energy dance together in the same pot. Check out here.

Time to eat my words

A while back I wrote a moan about Marina & The Diamonds… She came across as a spoilt kid, and that annoyed me. My friends would roll their eyes the moment they would hear me throw a rant about her, and tell me I got it all wrong. But I did say that she had potential, and yesterday afternoon she claimed the UK album number 1 spot. And the lead single is all about being… a spoilt brat. So actually, I like her now. I do. Not that she would care, but yea- Marina you’re cool.
