Simply structured pop with a strong melody, performed with a pretty distinct vocal.

“Second Date is written on the beach in Tenerife. It’s a ‘fun’ & honest song about struggling with intimacy issues & being vulnerable emotionally but put across in an uplifting way”

Sometimes, the simplest sounds make for the best. This release from aaron joseph russo was created with one sole aim – to make you dance.
“I just went for something hopefully people can have a little relaxed boogie to.”

“I was really angry when I wrote this. I wasn’t even with the person I wrote it about, it was so messed up you could barely call it seeing each other. That person made me feel like I would never be good enough for anyone. I hurt for a very long time after it ended, but after I wrote it all down the hurt went away. Everything that was said I let get to my head, and it made me feel worthless, yet written down it was madness. I was never not good enough.”

An experimental and exciting indie sound from this 19 year old rapper, singer and producer from East London. While this song isn’t an easy listen at first, it has so many layers and textures to explore that make it interesting.
“This track is split into two halves. The first details the irony of the title, and how that mirrors his attitude towards life in general. This sentiment is carried on through the conflict of the verse and the chaos which follows. The second half resolves the argument and has the protagonist question himself once more, with the song finishing with the resolution to go home.”

“This song embodies safety within a relationship, learning about and acknowledging each other’s past to better understand one another. It’s all about love and the complexities that come with it but also happiness, growth and creating new memories together.”

“I feel like this is the right time to put it out cos of the weird and scary situation the world is in. Lately, I’ve lost myself in my own worlds a lot more than usual to run away from the hard truth we’re all facing at the moment. I directed the visual myself, I wanted to give the song new levels and meaning.”

Nashville-based trio Lost Stars create a distinctly American sounding power pop sound with rousing melodies and punchy choruses.
“This is a song about someone who only wants to love you when it’s convenient for them. You don’t need that.”

Playful Norwegian bubblegum pop with one clear intent… To make you as humanly happy as possible. There’s also 90’s RnB and soul inspirations to this sound which just adds to the joy.
“The lyrics came from the vibe of the song – and the song became as joyful in the lyrics. Whilst ‘Pride…’ is basically a rant about what you dislike, ‘Too Good…’ is the opposite. It’s about how you embrace everything you like about another person. The whole production and the top-line came very naturally, it’s like the song was already there, and all we did was bring it into the light.”

A pop talent from California, who at the age of 17 has not only sung this track but also self-composed and produced the song, while playing all the instruments.
“It’s a pretty happy song, which is hard for a lot of songwriters to write. I only have a few of them.”

A polished blend of RnB, pop and hip hop from a new Nashville talent.
“This song discusses the relationship between a current love affair and a current infatuation with drinking and indulging in other intoxicants.”

It’s so satisfying to feature a new artist who consistently creates great pop with each release. This new one from Meg Smith shows a soft sense of vulnerability and bad love.
“Everyday was a competition. Had to prove you were the better musician.” I wrote this lyric three years ago, right after my very first heartbreak. I was 18 and felt so lost and confused. It wasn’t until a few months ago that I finally got the courage to write this song. As it turns out, that first heartbreak taught me a very important lesson: who not to love.”

Reminiscent of 90’s trip hop (which is one of my all time favourite genres), this is a luxuriously textured piece of chill pop.

The full production of this track was already featured a while back, but this acoustic version… Damn… The hairs on the back of my neck stood alive for three minutes while this played.

These guys have already amassed over 3 million streams on Spotify alone since their debut. This release has a summer- jazz vibe which is mellow yet also characteristic of the band’s unique take on indie pop.

“I had been feeling like many do in their late teens & early twenties, very lost. I felt like I was going through so many life changes and I didn’t really know myself and that scared me. I would occasionally go to parties and venture out as an escape to how I was feeling, but I’d always end up leaving more sad. The more I’d try to forget, the more I was reminded. I was nervous feeling like I didn’t have it all figured out, but eventually I came to terms with being ok with still having a lot to learn about myself & not having it figured out and thats finally when I felt ok.”
