“Don’t Be Afraid was a song I wrote while going through a deep patch of anxiety whilst in New Zealand. After three intense days of isolation and panic attacks, it just poured out of me. Most of the song was a freestyle that was my unconscious trying to encourage myself to focus on reality and get out of my head.”
How lovely is this sound? A finessed soft pop sound, wrapped in fragility and melancholy.
“The theme of this song is a situation that I find comes up often. When you go through a break-up, everything that person does online is now in your face and you want them to think you’re okay with them moving on when you’re not. For this track we wanted it to be super introspective and feel kind of dream-like since you’re not actually saying these lyrics out loud.”

“Dumb” was inspired by something my girlfriend at the time told me. She was joking about how “I get away with murder” when I do annoying things because for some reason, they don’t bother her the same way it does when other people do them. It got me thinking about what real love is.”

“I love this video. Just a straight up dancing vibe. I included the mask because we made this video in quarantine and I felt the mask is kind of this universal thing at the moment. We all now know that exact feeling of going outside with a mask. All the other versions of me are dancing indoors, which I thought was important because the reality of modern dance parties is that you gotta do that shit yourself! This video is all about letting go, escaping reality a bit, and getting your booty wiggling!”
