“I’ve been trying to figure out how to write this song for six years. I used to loop it and just freestyle to it when I was busking years ago but I always got stuck on the same parts. I put the song in a box at the back of my mind and revisited it in November 2019. I had Dann Hume and Matt Corby spend some time in my studio and that’s when I decided to show them this song. It’s my first song I’ve collaborated with other players on.”

Exciting new music talent from this 3-piece Stockholm group. An infectious and nicely written piece of indie pop.
“We live in success, we strive and we chase success. At the beginning of the process we wrote the song more as a joke. We were talking about how success is controlling everyones life today and we started to recognise ourself in the message of the song. It resulted in an ironic song with a relatable topic.”

Blissfully sweet and moving, this is a beautiful blend of soul and indie. Just perfect!

“It might be slightly based on scenes in the film the Mirror by Andrei Tarkovsky that I watched that the night before and I think some of that film’s imagery crept into the lyrics. Lyrics are the thing I find the hardest to write and I never really think my lyrics are good enough, but with this tune I left them exactly as they were when I first sung them.”

“The song came about during one of the worst nervous breakdowns of my life. We had all the songs done for the EP and I knew I needed to write a song about my mental health and anxiety. I’m very nervous about putting this one out, but I hope to God it can reach people, and hopefully let people know that they are not alone.”

“The past 12 months have seen protests across the globe, some peaceful, some violent. Though separated geographically, they’re united in spirit. ‘Thief’ celebrates those fighting to take back their rights.”

“I have always wanted to be a rockstar, but when I started writing songs, I found out about the whole producing step and kind of lost myself in it. For probably five years, all I did was produce without caring about writing. I’ve been listening to British Rock forever, I’m a performer, I play the guitar, I play the piano, I sing, this song is just a way to finally make young Rosenfeld’s dream come true. It’s time to be a rockstar.”
Taken from the EP, ‘The Red Room’.

“”Happiness…” is the most colourful sugary disco-pop song I’ve put out so far. It came about so easily one day in the studio with Justin from the Vaccines and his right hand man Will and by the end of the day we knew we had something special on our hands. It’s a tough time for everyone right now so hope this brings a little happiness into people’s lives!”

“There seems to be a theme of an underlining darkness in this song, and most of the new record. I’ve enjoyed bringing out other characters that live within my spirit. It’s nice to dance along the dark side at times.”

Another playful release from the Norwegian nineteen year-old talent who’s not afraid to put some quirkiness into indie. Debut EP, ‘Tech’, comes out on April 21st.

“Have you ever had a long-time friend that ended up wanting more than a friendship, but you didn’t feel the same way? That’s what this song is about.”
