This video went live on the 8th and it’s got over 364,000 hits already. I can’t stop watching it…

First Watch: Yelle ‘Comme Un Enfant’
I haven’t talked about my French obsession for some time so I thought it would be nice to show you her new video. Still quirky and edgy and funny.
First Watch: Tanya Lacey ‘Letter To My Ex’
I remember getting a dodgy looking email introducing me to Tanya Lacey not too long ago. I was impressed and blogged about it straight away. I remember emailing back asking for more- a link to a site or at least a picture. I didn’t get anything back and I had to improvise. Now she’s got a proper video through Sony Records and like I’d said before, the throwback to the 90’s thing works very well.
First Watch: Amy Winehouse ‘Our Day Will Come’
First Watch: Duran Duran ‘Girl Panic!’
There’s been a lot of talk about this video (in the UK anyway)- not just because it’s Duran Duran but because the video features some of fashion’s biggest models- Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Eva Herzigova, Helena Christensen and Yasmin Le Bon– faking a ‘super group’. It’s fun to watch, and the song’s good too.
First Watch: Bekele ‘Popstitute’
Almost a year ago I featured one of New York’s hottest up-and-coming starlets, Bekele. Now she’s come back with this, and as far as début videos go, this is pretty spectacular. The new Gaga? Very, very possibly. A glitter micro/cock is just genius. But what’s even better is the song’s available as a free download on the site- check out here.
First Watch: Friendly Fires ‘Hurting’
The first 30 seconds of this track are so painfully vibey and cool. This is the new video from my favourite band of recent years, Friendly Fires. Don’t leave, don’t leave, don’t leeeeeaaaave…
First Watch: Jon Ink ‘Every Little Inch’
Previously featured on here a few weeks ago, Swedish Jon Ink is back with a new video. It’s crazy catchy- this kid really needs a big record deal! He’s also acting as a guestjudge in Webjokern, the swedish eurovision song contest 2012.
First Watch: Spiro ‘Hurricane’
First Listen: Wolfette ‘Trophy Girl’
Wolfette’s new single ‘Trophy Girl’ is set to be released on 5th December. It’s a piece of cheeky electropop with some kick.
First Watch: Sway ‘Still Speedin’
The return of one of the UK’s biggest MC’s is here, and this track is HUGE. The official video came out last week and features a cameo from magician Dynamo and puts Sway firmly back in the driving seat (gettit?)… Check out here.
First Watch: Duck Sauce ‘Big Bad Wolf’
First Watch: Niki & The Dove ‘The Drummer’
Niki & The Dove was featured here long, long before many people started to realise her amazingness. This is her new single and it is sick. The beats just melt like butter. Check out here.
First Watch: The Ting Tings ‘Hang It Up’
I have to be honest, I thought The Ting Tings would be a one-hit-wonder. However, this is their new single and although I really have no idea if anyone will buy it, it’s pretty amazing. The drums remind me of the intro to Dizzee Rascal’s ‘Fix Up Look Sharp‘. They haven’t lost their touch.
First Watch: Filur ‘Concentrate!’
I don’t know much about Filur but they seem to be big in their native Denmark- I just love the song (when it kicks in at the 2:45 mark). Check out here.
First Watch: Visions of Trees ‘Sirens (Novocaine)’
One of my favourite songs by this duo. They’ve announced a tour for the autumn (so like… now). Check out here.
First Watch: Caan ‘Now Hear This My Friends’
I wrote about Caan back in the summer. This is the video to ‘Now Hear This My Friends’, out on October 10th. He’s definitely one to watch for- amazing talent.
First Listen: Tove Styrke ‘Call My Name’
This has been huge in her native Sweden, and it’s a bit weird for me why she’s still only getting an underground buzz over here in the UK. But then again Robyn took a really long time before she blew here, so I hope the same kicks for Tove Styrke. Cos she’s frickin’ good.
First Watch: MNEK ‘If Truth Be Told’
I’ve been a bit obsessed with MNEK for a while now. Anyway, this song is not new, but it’s been reworked and is getting a proper release that an amazing tune like this deserves. He’s also co-written current crazy hit ‘All Fired Up’ by The Saturdays which is top 10 in the UK charts at the moment.
You know what I like about him? He puts enough fun in his pop without it sounding like something out of a CBeebies show. Check him out!
