This Slow Magic remix of Swedish trio Simian Ghost’s ‘Wolf Girl’ is perfect Sunday evening listening.

I’m 13 years behind on this one…
They’re called Mando Diao, and from what I’ve read they’re popular in the continent. The song above is about three years old. Can’t go wrong with a bit of faux-60’s nostalgia, I say…
New Music: XOV
Artist of the week. Truly epic pop with that trademark Scandinavian sound from a kid with a really heavy back-story. Check out here.
New Music: Materikaa
I’m about to use capitals to express what I think of this Swedish electropop duo- I LOVE THIS. It’s so sinister, cheeky and brilliant. This will be on rotation on my iPod for some time. Check out here.
New Music: Julian & Marina
Some nice new chilled electropop from Stockholm. Check out here.
New Music: Elliphant
I know very, very little about this one but I’m sure we’ll be hearing a whole load more from her. It seems to be part of this emergence of dirty, industrial electro pop fronted by badass ladies coming out of Sweden of late that’s been getting a lot of followers (see Gnucci or Alina Devecerski). Check out here.
First Watch: Karin Park ‘Thousand Loaded Guns’
Im surprised with myself for not mentioning Karin Park on this site before, because I do love her. She ticks all my boxes. This is her new song, it’s all Scandinavian and epic, just the way I like it. The voice is a little Fever Ray, don’t you think?
Free Download: Lo-Fi-Fnk & Friendzone ‘Taking U 4 Granted’
One of the cutest sounding electro duo’s, Lo-Fi-Fnk, have released a track with Friendzone as a free track and it’s brilliant. Just what you need to hear before the start of the weekend. AND they’ve also released a free mixtape. Love these guys!

Feed the Dada
This two banana-loving men make music that makes my head want to blow up… New single. Swedish electro at it’s maddest.
Who’s that girl?
It’s Robyn, obviously. Get off your office chair, hop on your desk and embarrass yourself with this brilliant remix by Rex The Dog.
New Music: Elias Sahlin
Incredible to think that this big voice belongs to Elias Sahlin, a 16-year old Swedish kid who also does a little bit of Gospel singing with the Tensta Gospel Choir. Very excited to see where this leads up to. Check out here.
New Music: Sabina Ddumba
New Music: Salvadir
Great new underground indie rock with a little shoegaze, from Gothenburg. Check out here.
New Music: Moa Lignell
Swedish acoustic pop. Moa came third on Swedish Idol last year and is now releasing her debut album ”Different Path” on September 12th. Check out here.
New Music: Cajsa Siik
Gorgeous Swedish shoegaze/ synth pop of the very highest standard. Check out here.
First Listen: Agnes ‘All I Want Is You’
Swedish pop royalty Agnes has a new single out now, with fourth studio album ”Veritas” out on September 5th.
Free Download: Johan Reinhold ‘Heart In A Jar’
Johan Reinhold is by far one of the big new stand-out artists emerging from Scandinavia this year. And I personally am a huge fan. So when you get an email detailing the release of his next free track, you’d be right to guess that I got a bit excited.
The track is, hands-down, one of the top five songs to come out of 2012 so far in my view. It’s a roller coaster of subdued, heartbroken riffs steadily destroyed by an epic chorus that lifts you to another level. You must download this, listen and get moved to it, and share it with your loved ones.
This isn’t even a proper single from Johan Reinhold. He calls it a ‘taster of what’s to come’. Exciting times ahead.
Gnučči finally releases debut EP!
One of my favourite Swedish ladies of recent months, Gnučči has finally released a debut EP. I know it’s not the easiest thing to get in to, but once you give it a couple of listens it turns out to be pure genius. Is it MIA? Is it Nicki Minage? No. Gnučči’s here…
New Music: The Ginger
I must confess, a large chunk of the Swedish stuff I put up on here is of the electro pop variety, and much as love the stuff, it’s always refreshing to hear something completely different. The Ginger does something a little rare- it mixes a raw, heartbreaking sound with tremendous warmth. There were too many songs that I wanted to feature on here, but this one felt right at the time I was writing. Check out here.
New Music: Saturday, Monday
Interesting sound from this lot- there’s a bit of drum/bass mixed in with some warm pop noises. Swedish, of course. Check out here.
