Finnish electro from TJH87.
I’m pretty confused with Stooshe‘s sound. It’s a bit strange seeing a girl group hop around genres this much this early, but it’s fun nonetheless. This throwback to Motown is as feel-good as pop can get right now.
This is one of my favourite songs from the 90’s, and it’s lyrics throw a punch. I’m not sure how old any of Stooshe were when the song came out, but this is a cute version.
People aren’t sure if these girls will make any impact in 2012 but you know what- I think they’re all wrong. I love these ladies, and if this track is anything to go by what we are to expect over the next twelve months then AWESOME.
Not to sound sad but this is one of my favourite moments of the year- when the BBC Sound of 2012 list is revealed. If you are unaware of how important this list of musicians is, check out the same list from 2011 and see how many predictions are household names now. This list is a big, big deal- so get used to the names this year because you’ll be hearing from them a lot in the next twelve months. The list is compiled by music bigshots. The top five will be revealed in the week commencing 2 January. Here’s the full list:
- A$AP Rocky
- Azealia Banks – featured in October.
- Dot Rotten
- Dry The River – featured in November.
- Flux Pavilion
- Frank Ocean
- Jamie N Commons
- Lianne La Havas – featured in November.
- Michael Kiwanuka – featured in April.
- Niki & The Dove – featured in June 2010.
- Ren Harvieu – featured in November.
- Spector – featured in July.
- Stooshe – featured in March.
I’m proud of the number of artists on that list that I featured before… Boasting over and done with now!
New girl group from London with a very dirty song. I like it though, I don’t know if they’re actually doing this for the long run or whether it’s just one song but whatever, enjoy it! Check out here.
