I like this song, it’s cute. It’s got that 90’s Everything But The Girl vibe to it. But to be honest the video is close to amazing. Who would have thought a goldfish could stir any sense of emotion! Check out here.
Best video concept of the month!
I see a ton of videos every week, but sometimes a newbie comes along and does something so fun and clever it takes you by surprise. How do you get people to listen to your song without realising? Chop up the music video and get people to work their way around it. Elsie’s video needs to go viral! The track is released on May 13th on Big Print/Warners.
The video plays out the familiar story of a girl dealing with unwanted male attention in a night club and gives the viewer the option to chose how the video unfolds. The fate of the male protagonist lies with the viewer as they are given two options to choose how THEY would like to next scene of the video to play out.

Dario Darnell from Picture Book builds his own version of Flashback (Calvin Harris) from scratch using nothing but his laptop, keys and kit… oh and insane amounts of talent.

Sometimes the PR blurb I get in emails can get a bit over the top, but for a change I actually found the story behind this band pretty interesting. So here it is, word for word…
The White Arrows story begins with a blind boy. Singer Mickey Church was born seeing the world as an impressionistic smear. His vision was righted at age 11, but his imagination ran wild for the intervening years. Since he couldn’t make out those around him, he assumed they couldn’t see him either. He rode made-up horses and sung songs that didn’t exist. His memory of growing up in L.A. is confined to smells, sounds and swaths of fuzzy color. Mickey’s father, a student of African percussion, encouraged him and his little brother Henry to pick up instruments as kids, so they played what was around. With family back east, Mickey eventually left for NYU, and unexpectedly wound up with a degree in shamanistic ritual.

Free Download: Featurecast ‘Mini Mix’
This is just an awesome selection of tracks to cheer you up on this Monday morning. Featurecast (Lee Mintram to his mum) has an album on the way with a serious seasoning of top vocalists including Greg Blackman (a mainstay of the album), high flying UK bluesman John Turrell, Hospital Records D&B vocalist of choice Pat Fulgoni, plus MC Alaska, C Reid and Pugz Atom dropping urban science whenever and wherever required. Available on Digital from the 12th of March exlusively @ Beatport… and from the 26th of March on Vinyl and Digital at Juno.
The biggest song in Sweden right now…

This is Loreen, singing Euphoria. She won Melodifestivalen over the weekend with this, and will therefore represent the song as Sweden’s entry for Eurovision this year. If you don’t know what Melodifestivalen is, it’s Sweden’s most watched show and is absolutely huge in every sense of the word. I went last year and it was simply mind blowing.
New Music: River Seven
Listening to this brought me back to 2003 and listening to Maroon 5 for the first time. It’s a catchy pop song. Check out here.
