Swedish pop star Ola’s gotten all big over in Italy lately, and this new single has a very camp Italo-disco beat around it. And the whistling won’t escape your head for a good few hours…

Swedish house for a Monday night? Why not.
Feel-good Swedish electro/ house from Error404.
New Music: Galantis
Feeling good about this week. Here’s an uplifting dance sound. Check out here.
I won’t let the weekend go… Just yet…
Jonas Rathsman delivers a smooth slice of house that I can’t not share with you this weekend.
First Watch: Elliphant ‘Could It Be’
One of my favourite Swedish newcomers, Elliphant has come up with a new video (and a new sound it seems). It’s still got a quirk, but is a lot easier to take in than some of her previous tracks.
Live: Cajsa Siik at The Tavern Lock London
I had two events to hit last night, so I couldn’t stay as long as I wanted to watch a whole list of talented Swedish singers perform as part of a Birds Will Sing For You showcase but the couple of songs I managed to watch Cajsa Siik were beautiful.
Others on the night were Ms. Henrik and The Fiery Piano.
New Music: Naomi Pilgrim
One of the coolest, quirkiest slices of pop this week. Check out here.
New Music: All That Is
Subdued Swedish electro. Check out here.
New Music: Mapei
Airy soul pop with some big beats. Check out here.
Some high-brow Swedish conceptual pop…
Just because it’s an epic bit of music. It actually comes from a Swedish theatre adaptation of ‘Dracula’, by Jonathan Johansson and Johan Eckeborn.
New Music: Helena Johansson
Daniel Adams-Ray is back!
One of my absolute favourite Swedish soloists is finally releasing new stuff. It’s all in Swedish, but his quirky poppy sound should entertain you for a while.
New Music: Kalle Gracias
So I was in Stockholm over the weekend. It wasn’t as eventful as usual, but then that was a little bit intentional. I didn’t get to immerse myself too much in music this time, but this caught my attention. It’s Swedish hip hop (I’m feeling very hip hop this month), and it’s pretty good. Check out here.
Charli XCX – SuperLove
If you’d have asked this time what pop music would sound like in 2014, I would have said it would be like this track from Charli XCX. This is so good.
First Listen: Beat The Heart ‘It Never Ends EP’
Take a peek at the new EP from Swedish rockers Beat The Heart.
New Music: 1987
A lo-fi, airy Swedish sound. So much potential with this. Check out here.
Free Download: Say Lou Lou ‘Feels Like We Only Go Backwards’
This could have easily been a single for Say Lou Lou. A beautiful cover of a Tame Impala song.
Two songs, two artists, sharing the same video… Those Swedes!
It’s the same music video, but performed with a different song on each clip. Both from emerging Swedish newcomers, Ms. Henrik and H.M. Hammarin. Is it just me or is Gothenburg rapidly become a Swedish hipster hub? Kinda cool…
New Music: Korallreven
This is one of those back-track posts when I notice I haven’t featured someone I thought I did. Anyway, these Swedes have actually been around for years, and they make that infectious Scandi electro pop sound that makes you happy to dance to. Check out here.
New Music: Alice Boman
A rich and warm yet fragile sound. Check out here.
