My dear little Linkoban’s got a new video that’s right up my alley. Happy days.
Scandi music authority Ja Ja Ja hosted it’s first ever festival at London’s Roundhouse this weekend. A stellar roster of up and coming Scandinavian buzzbands filled up this ultra cool venue.
For someone like me, I was a little bit of a kid in a candy shop. Highlights were:
Postiljonen (Sweden)

Sin Fang (Iceland)

Truls (Norway)

NONONO (Sweden)

Danish electro pop wizz Birk Storm gets the remix treatment from Wyatt Heap.
You could be mistaken for thinking this came out of a Hot Chip album, but it’s brilliantly executed Danish electropop. Check out here.
Veronica Maggio goes all Daft Punk with this remix from Wagner (who happens to be one half of Danish pop due ColorKaleido).
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Maggio, she’s a Swedish pop institution who’s interestingly never released an album in English.
A serious Danish pop song. My only critique with this video is the lack of Thomas Holm’s handsome beard.
I really do love this song from MØ so much. I described it as a bit Lykke Li before, but the more I hear it the more I want to say it’s also got some Motown and Lana Del Rey, all mixed up in a boiling pot of broken hearts.
Danish pop princess Fallulah comes back with an infectiously loud slice of Danish pop.
Track of the week. Cute Danish pop, and you’ll be hard done to find a voice this sweet any time soon. The more I play this the more I fall in love with it. Check out here.
Greta Svabo Bech seems to have come out of no where. This new track is pretty special and ticks all the Scandinavian pop boxes.
