Kicking myself right now…

eddie gomez

How did I not know about this Robyn cover? Specially as I’m a huge fan of Eddie Gomez.

Watch out.. Andreas Moe will take you over…

I’ve made no secret of how much I like Andreas Moe. He’s making huge impact over in native Sweden for his effortlessly catchy and beautifully stylish songs. Anyway, he’s finally coming over to the UK to plug his sounds via his new debut EP Collecting Sunlight on June 25th, and so it feels only right to give it a mention.

Having played in several bands in Sweden, and having leant his voice to a number of dance tracks, he signed his first UK publishing deal in January 2011. His collaborations already include DJ Avicii (Fade into Darkness) and John de Sohn (Long Time).

But he still describes his sound as being The Script meets Robyn meets Prince: “electronic but organic.” Check out here.

Robyn covers Coldplay’s ‘Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall’

Last week it was Friendly Fires making good noise with a Lady Gaga track, this week it’s Robyn covering what is in my view one of the best pop songs of 2011 by Coldplay. It’s got that minimal, cold Scandi vibe Robyn does so well.

First Watch: Robyn ‘Call Your Girlfriend’

I love Robyn (as you might have guessed if you’re a regular on here). Video’s great, even though I wasn’t a huge fan of the song when I first heard it but watching this makes me change my mind. Gonna dance like her next time I’m rockin’ the discotheque.

First Listen: Robyn feat Teddybears ‘Cardiac Arrest’

Teddybears have previously worked with Robyn on ‘Cobrastyle’ from *that* album which shook the pop world crazy side. They’ve collaborated with her again on ‘Cardiac Arrest’- it’s got a cheeky upbeat poppy vibe to it which is just perfect to listen to on one’s birthday! Buy it here.
