This track, produced by Gold Panda, is like a journey in the skies. Lovely. Check out here.

Those cheeky Swedish hiphoppers are back…
I love Ansiktet, even though they bust their vibes in Swedish which can be a bit problematic at times. The video is a bit out there but the song’s pretty awesome.
New Music: Midi Matilda
Free Download: Lana Del Rey ‘Video Games’ (Sam Sure & Giacomo Re-Version)
I like it when remixes aren’t just speeded up versions of songs. This ‘re-version’ of Lana Del Rey’s ‘Video Games’ has a really cool twist to it, and it comes as a free download along with these other edits over on Sam Sure & Giacomo’s Facebook:
- Lianne La Havas ‘The Intro’
- Lana del Rey ‘Video Games’
- John Martyn – ‘Go Down Easy’
- Michael Kiwanuka – ‘Tell Me a Tale’
- Friendly Fires vs. Marvin Gaye – ‘Gotta Give it up’
- Valentia – ‘Can’t Stop Now’
Their music draws comparisons to the likes of The Streets, Rizzle Kicks and Jamie T, and will be leading into the new year with the release of the understated debut, ‘Dark Inside’; deconstructed beats and heavy atmospherics lay the bed for an introspective and brooding vocal.
So these Stooshe ladies…
People aren’t sure if these girls will make any impact in 2012 but you know what- I think they’re all wrong. I love these ladies, and if this track is anything to go by what we are to expect over the next twelve months then AWESOME.
First Listen: Cris Cab ‘One Thing’
I mentioned Cris Cab last week and this song’s surfaced since- it’s produced by Pharrell and it’s pretty. So here you go. Enjoy.
New Music: Aura Dione
This was huge in Denmark, it’s getting a world wide release shortly and it’s catchy as hell. Check out here.
New Music: Kathleen Edwards
Kathleen’s new album ‘Voyageur’, released on January 23rd on Rounder Records, was produced by Edwards and Justin Vernon (Bon Iver). She recently supported Bon Iver on his UK and European tour. Check out here.
New Music: Doe Paoro
Brooklyn-based artist Doe Paoro describes her music as “Ghost Soul,” characterized by a dolorous, ethereal sound that evokes the resurrection of “a choir of ghosts who haven’t completely detached from the human experience.” Check out here.
New Music: Meg Myers
Big angry yet soulful sounds. Check out here.
Mix a bit of Robyn with some Whitney and you get a good start to the week…
Courtesy of one of the most amazing Scandi blogs around, this will be my wake up alarm for the next week. A blend of the finest Robyn and Whitney Houston. Come on peeps, smile… Life’s good!

New Music: Ted Morris
Sounds American right? Well, it isn’t. It’s Swedish. His real name is Ted Mauritz Svensson and his sound moves swiftly round the edges of 70’s americana and Randy Newman-esque singer/songwriter moods. It’s big sounding and heartfelt. Check out here.
First Watch: Team Me ‘Show Me’
My favourite Norwegian indie band have debuted a new music video and it’s as cute as the track. So wonderfully uplifting and anthemic.
New Music: Josh Kumra
I love love love this hard! Josh was the featured vocalist on Wretch 32′s no.1 hit single ‘Don’t Go’ (or click here for a stunning acoustic version). I’m really excited to see where this kid lands up because he’s bound to get huge very fast. Check out here.
New Music: CITIZENS!
Signed to the Kitsune label, this is beyond cute- much as I find the video incredibly disturbing. Check out here.
Saturday boogie
Nothing good can come out of two hot guys making disco music other than dirty beats. Courtesy of Oliver‘s ‘Dirty Talk’ EP, out January 17th on Kitsuné France.
Can you hand dance with me?
First Listen: Moses Melkonian ‘We Are Mighty, We Are Young’
I mentioned Moses Melkonian a while ago on here and now he’s back with a really interesting track. It’s a bit funky, it’s a bit edgy, it’s a bit warm and a bit sexy at the same time. I can’t really describe it, but that’s often a pretty good thing.
